Adobe Bonding & Earthen Walls
We build walls that breathe. At Eco-Construction Medellín, we leverage ancestral techniques of adobe bonding and earth construction to create solid and durable walls. The adobe blocks are combined with a layer of compacted natural earth, which gives the structure excellent thermal inertia: in the coffee-growing region, it keeps interiors cool during the day and warm when temperatures drop. Additionally, the texture of the earth and adobe act as acoustic dampers, reducing outside noise and offering a quiet indoor environment. The combination of these materials, extracted from the area itself, ensures a flawless visual and environmental integration, respecting the Andean landscapes and local construction tradition.
